Career:

Denis Krude has got more than 21 years of experience in the plant design business. He works for thyssenkrupp since 1998 and held leading positions in engineering and management, including more than 8 years as Head of Design Department in the electrolysis division, 2 years as board member of the joint venture UHDENORA, 4 years as COO and 1 year as CEO of the Uhde Inventa-Fischer Group.

On 1 October 2016, Denis Krude was appointed CEO of thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers GmbH.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Career:

Arno Pfannschmidt has since 1993 more than 20 years' professional experience in accounting, taxes, controlling, finance and M&A at thyssenkrupp. Of these more than 15 years have been in CFO functions at subsidiaries within various Business Areas, such as Stainless Steel, Elevator and Marine Systems, including assignments to Italy, South Korea and Sweden. On September 1, 2014 Arno Pfannschmidt was appointed CFO of thyssenkrupp Electrolysis GmbH, and continued in this function in thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers GmbH after the Closing of the Joint Venture.

Fulvio Federico

Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Career:

Fulvio Federico has more than 20 years' professional experience in design, development and manufacturing of cells and processes for the electrochemical industry. In 1993 he joined De Nora for the research and development of electrolyzers for conventional chlor-alkali as well as for new processes, especially those using oxygen depolarized cathodes.

He was participating in projects and leading projects in new technology development for De Nora and since 2001 for Uhdenora, from basic concept until industrialization. E.g. the HCl-ODC electrolysis, NaCl-ODC, zero-gap retrofit and new chlor-alkali BM Gen. v6.

In April 2015 he joined thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers as Head of Global Technology, coordinating the R&D activities. On 1 October 2017 Fulvio Federico was appointed CTO of thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers.

Dr. Roland Beckmann
Born 1967, holds a diploma in chemistry and a doctor’s degree in inorganic chemistry, both from the University of Münster.

Career:

Dr. Roland Beckmann has worked for thyssenkrupp since 1997. During this time he managed different departments of the thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions' process technologies business unit as Senior Process Engineer, Senior Project Manager and Project Director.

In 2012 he returned from a Project Director assignment in Egypt back to the Electrolysis division at the then thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH to support the planned joint venture in the electrolysis business. When thyssenkrupp Electrolysis GmbH was founded in 2014, he established and headed the Project Execution Department.

After closing of the joint venture, he took on the position of Head of Management of the local organization thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers in Germany.

Career:

Since joining Chlorine Engineers Corp., Ltd. in April 1974, he has successively held leading positions as the Director of such departments as Manufacturing, Production Management, and Customer Service, and as General Manager of the Sales Department and Technology Department.

In June 2009, Shinji Katayama was appointed Director of Chlorine Engineers Corp., Ltd. and in June 2012, he was appointed Representative Director of the company.

Career:

Christoph has 19 years’ experience in chemical engineering, five of which in R&D and 14 of which in EPC projects for the chlorine industry within thyssenkrupp.

From 2015 to 2016 he was Operations Director (COO) of thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers (Japan) Ltd. having previously held various positions inside the electrolysis division of former thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH.

Christoph was appointed Managing Director and Representative Director of thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers (Japan) Ltd. in 2016.

Keisho Cho
Born 1963, studied history of art at Beijing Japanese Culture Center, graduated (master) in 1987, and history of painting at University of Tokyo, graduated (doctor) in 1996.

Career:

From 1987 until 1992, Keisho Cho was a teacher at Beijing Foreign Language University. From 1996 until 2010 he held various positions in the Sales Division of Chlorine Engineers Japan. In 2010, Keisho Cho was appointed Head of Sales at Chlorine Engineers Shanghai.

From 2013, he took over the position of Managing Director first for Chlorine Engineers Shanghai and since April 2015 for thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers Shanghai.

Career:

From 2000 until 2008 Juergen Grasinger was responsible for the thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers Test-Facilities at CABB in Gersthofen/Germany.

From 2008 until 2015 he held various positions in thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH – Electrolysis Division in Dortmund. In 2015 he was appointed Senior Sales Manager of thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Electrolysis (USA) in Houston. In 2016 he was appointed Head of Management thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Electrolysis (USA).

Born 1963, studied Chemical Engineering at the RWTH in Aachen/Germany, graduated (Dipl.-Ing.) in 1989, and gained his doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) at the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse/France in 1993.

Career:

From 1993 until 1995 Dr. Albert ZImmermann was Production Engineer at Air Liquide in Grenoble/France.

From 1995 until 2007 he held various positions at thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH, Electrolysis Division. In 2008 he was appointed Member of the Executive Board of OOO Uhde in Moscow/Russia. In 2013 he was appointed Managing Director of UHDENORA, Milan/Italy and since 2015 has held the same position at thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers (Italia) in Milan.

Career:

Roland Käppner was heading global Sales & Business Development within thyssenkrupp industrial Solutions AG since July 2016. Before, he has been leading GKN Sinter Metals hydrogen activities after he left McPhy Energy S.A in 2015, where he was executive board member and responsible as CEO for the groups operations in Germany, Northern and Eastern Europe, China and Asia Pacific.

He started his career 1990 with Collini-Fluehmann in Switzerland where he grew a new business segment for engineered surface technology and became member of the management board. From 1999 to 2012 he held various leadership functions in the Siemens Industry Sector such as Vice President for their industry service business in North and South America, Chief Strategy Officer for the Industrial Technologies Group before he started their business activities for Hydrogen Electrolyzers as Executive Vice President.

Roland holds engineering degrees from the Polytechnic Aalen, the University of Manchester and the Management Center St.Gallen.

Born 1956, studied Chemical Engineering at Polytechnical Institute in Bucharest, graduated (Master of Science) in 1983, gained doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) in Anorganic Chemistry at University “Carolo Wilhelmina” in Braunschweig in 1988.

Career:

From 1985 until 1988 Dr. Adrian Schervan was a research assistant at the University “Carolo Wilhelmina” in Braunschweig. From 1988 until 1995 he held various positions in thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH’s electrolysis division.

In 1995 he was appointed as a representative of Krupp Technologies in Bucharest/Romania. In 1999 he was appointed as Manager of the Marketing & Business Development at the then Krupp Uhde GmbH. In 2001 he was nominated as Managing Director of UHDENORA, Milan/Italy.

From 2014 he took over the position of Head of Global Sales, initially for thyssenkrupp Electrolysis GmbH and since April 2015 for thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers GmbH.

Dmitri Donst

Head of Global Service

Career:

Dmitri Donst is responsible for Technology and Service Department within the German entity of Uhde Chlorine Engineers since founding of the company in April 2015. Before, he coordinated research and development activities for 4 years within the former Electrolysis Division of thyssenkrupp Uhde.

Prior joining thyssenkrupp in 2010, Dr. Donst was leading a development group with focus on laser machining technologies at Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT in Aachen, Germany.

Dmitri Donst graduated in mechanical engineering and received his Dr.-Ing. in production technology as well as his MBA from the RWTH Aachen University, Germany. He is married, has two children and is enjoying every free minute with his family.
